All I can say is I'm surprised my stomach isn't ripped in half. The comedic genius known as Howie Mandel blew me away with his perfect timing and improvisational ingenuity. I as a spectator did not know what to expect with an old school comedian like Howie. He built his reputation in the 80's and 90's with his catch phrases, filterless mouth, and unique vocal talents but now I can truly say I know who he is.
Sunday, January 30, 2011, was indeed a great “girls’ day out” in Olean. As soon as I walked into the elegant Premier Banquet and Conference Center I knew the event would be a success.

At a practically sold-out show on Saturday, three comics took the stage to show Olean a good time in the third showcase for Mat Single T Comedy.
An hour before the show started, the Bartlett Country Club was already packed, but people continued to smush themselves in to hear if the comedians could give them a giggle … and let me tell you, they did more than that.
End it now. I’m not going to lie. This was the exact thought running through my head as I stood waiting in line for my first country concert ever: Leann Rimes at the Bradford Creative Performing Arts Center. If you’d have asked me three weeks ago the likelihood that I would ever attend such an event, I would have probably said that it’s right up there with getting an appendectomy or wearing underwear made of sandpaper on my list of things to do.

The smells of burritos texano and enchiladas weren’t the only enticing flavors to fill the air at Tortugas Restaurant Friday night. Two of the members of the Bradford band Musk took the stage, dressed in cowboy attire, to deliver a tasteful acoustic set.
