They Just Don't Make Them Like They Used To - Installment One

It’s something we hear all the time, “They just don’t make them like they used to.” But how many of us really heed these words of wisdom and actually check the products we purchase for defects? Manufacturers make unmentionable amounts of money selling ‘extended warranty’ plans to ‘protect’ our ‘investments,’ when it seems that maybe they should be putting their resources into making quality products.

Pulitzer nominee to speak at Pitt-Bradford

Scott Russell Sanders will speak Oct. 19.

BRADFORD, Pa. – Award-winning author Scott Russell Sanders will speak on the relationship between people and places Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.

His free talk will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Mukaiyama University Room of the Frame-Westerberg Commons. The program is sponsored by the English program, the Environmental Studies program, the Division of Communication and the Arts, and the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
